Detail : A good solid organ in decent working order, by HJ Nelson of Durham, built all new in 1928 with a bright and forthright tone suitable for liturgical and solo use. The modest specification is very versatile, with lovely strings and flutes, two useful reeds, a bold diapason chorus, and a variety of sub & super octave couplers; it is a very satisfying instrument to play. The pipework is of good quality and the console is very comfortable and nicely made. The organ is fully pneumatic with the exception of the pedal couplers which are mechanical. Overall a really good instrument worthy of restoration and a new home.
