This organ is located in the diocese or region of Keithhall Church, Inverurie, Scotland. The original builder was Ernest Lawton (ex Wadsworth) 1907 and the last known carer was John Nobes (2015 contract terminated). The one manual and pedal organ by Lawton at Keithhall is a good little instrument, mostly reliable and durable, as is proven by its 111 year history in working order. It would serve another church well. With most of it operated mechanically, it would be fairly straightforward to move, with its present specification..The organ was first listed by the IBO on 2019-03-04.
Location : Scotland
Offered As : Complete organ only
Action(s) : Tracker pneumatic
Approximate Dimensions : Case 4' 0" deep, plus 2' 7" for pedalboard (including stool) Case 8' 0" wide plus maximum of 2' 6" for external Bourdon pipes (all relocatable). Case 12' 10" high from floor to top of highest facade pipe (dummy, so would not need extra height).
Detail : The organ has remained unaltered since 1907 apart from some releathering of the external pneumatic motors and patching of the reservoir corners. The pipework still sounds very well, and is mostly in good tune, with all the notes on the manual stops working. The sounds are musical, varied and sufficiently powerful for worship.
